Million $ Reload At The Fort, Dungannon

MILLION $ RELOAD The Fort, Dungannon Friday 22 February 2008 MILLION $ RELOAD FOR THE FORT! Million $ Reload - the ultimate 5 piece rock n’ roll are set to return to The Fort, Dungannon to make their very first appearance of 2008 in the House Of Blues, along with two of Northern Irelands finest bands THUS and Play The Thief on Friday 22 February. The band name itself was taken from the song 'Give It All' - a song about two aggressors pitting their wits against each other in a poker game "...no everything's not all right, I need a million dollar reload..." A 'Reload' being a poker term for a buy-in. M$R formed out of the highly successful Guns N’ Rosez tribute band in late 2005. Phil Conalane, Kie McMurray and Andy Mack began the writing process in the late summer of that year and during this time 'Superslave', 'Degeneration' and 'Give It All' were penned. With the help of drummer Davy Cassa and guitarist B.A.M, the band hit Manor Park Studios and recorded a three track E.P but even better and much to the delight of their fans is their debut album ‘Anthems of a Degeneration’ Million Dollar Reloads reputation has spread all over the country and they landed top support slots with Alice Cooper and Gilby Clarke (ex-Guns N' Roses) on their last visits to Ireland. They also had the great pleasure of playing with the original drummer of Guns N’ Roses ‘Steven Adler’ both in Belfast and in Dublin in early 2006. Not bad for a band that had only been going for around a year. However during this phenomenal period, the band was delighted to be teaming up with A&R man Thomas Black. Thomas Black whose famous face you may recognise from RTÉ’S reality program 'You're A Star'. Before this Thomas worked with record giants EMI and Polydor. Million $ Reload were also on the bill for all Adler’s Appetite’s latest European adventure in November last year but unfornatley the tour got cancelled, but as true professionals M$R fulfilled their commitment and rocked The Fort that night along with P.TT and Pat McManus. With fans itchin’ to hear more of that Steven Tyler-esque voice of Phil’s and the dazzling guitar solos from Andy and B.A.M, Million Dollar Reload decided it was time to hit the studio once again in autumn 2006 and their debut album 'Anthems of a Degeneration' was recorded. The 15-track rock masterpiece has been received to critical claim on such well known and hard rock sites such as hairmetalireland.co.uk and hardrockhouse.com. ‘Anthems of a Degeneration’ has been released all over Northern Ireland on the Bulletproof 20/20 label. Since the release of this album M$R spend their time penning new songs for a second album which is slated for a late 2008 or early 2009 release. In addition to this they are touring Northern Ireland extensively. Don’t forget to check out Million Dollar Reloads Official website www.milliondollarreload.com and www.myspace.com/milliondollarreload where you can purchase their debut album along with t-shirts and badges! Opening this incredible night will be Mid-Ulster rockers THUS who originate from Cookstown and surrounding areas. THUS are a 5 piece band who officially began in 2006 however each member has been on the local music scene for a long time. THUS are in the middle of recording a new album courtesy of Rockhard Productions. Following THUS will be local and highly popular rockers Play The Thief who have supported many of Irelands biggest acts right in their own hometown. Acts include Pat McManus, Aslan, More Power To Your Elbow, Pocket Promise to name just a few. Like THUS, Play The Thief are currently penning an album with a tentative release date in 2009. Play The Thief are thrilled to be working along with Million $ Reload once again.
